Tips to Improve Cyber Hygiene and Address Security Concerns

Hikvision Tips to Boost Cybersecurity for Employees, Reduce Security Concerns

The Cybersecurity Insiders article, “Ten tips for better cyber hygiene during COVID-19,” outlines ways to boost cybersecurity and address security concerns with several recommendations.

From the article: “SMEs [small and medium-sized enterprises] have undoubtedly faced a huge range of challenges through COVID-19 and one that certainly deserves attention is cybercrime. With more employees working remotely, there is a greater risk to organizations. And if businesses want to keep their networks protected against criminals and hackers, they need to practice good cyber hygiene.”

Some of the article’s recommendations include:

  • Routine Risk Assessments: With more people working from home since COVID-19, conducting cybersecurity risk assessments on a regular basis can be helpful to boost security.

  • Employee Training: Training employees to understand cybersecurity and how they can prevent security breach in an organization is empowering and effective. To learn how to identify common phishing attacks, read this Hikvision article.
