Security Canada West: Hikvision Sponsor HikWire blog article

Hikvision Canada is a National Sponsor of Security Canada West, being held at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, B.C. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Hikvision’s western Canada team will showcase its HikCentral CMS, as well as its new smart PTZ, PanoVu Panoramic multi-sensor, and thermal bullet cameras in the exhibit hall at booth #100.

Security Canada West is one of six annual security conferences hosted by the Canadian Security Association (CANASA), a non-profit focused on supporting Canadian security professionals.

“Educating customers on HikCentral will be a big focus of our showcase at Security Canada West. Our central management software system, HikCentral, is scalable and enables organizations across many vertical markets to manage single or multiple site security systems from a central location, as well as access footage remotely from a smartphone,” said Jeff Augustine, Hikvision director of sales for western Canada. “HikCentral also offers smart analytics such as human and vehicle detection, people counting, point-of of-sale integration, and system health monitoring, all while being budget-friendly.”

In the booth, the team will also highlight Hikvision’s thermal network bullet camera DS-2TD2136-7, which has smart features such as line crossing detection, intrusion detection and entrance/exit detection. The camera can operate in a temperature range from negative 40 degrees Celsius to 65 degrees Celsius (-40 F to 149 F).

Hikvision’s PanoVu 20 MP panoramic multi-sensor camera DS-2CD6D54FWD-Z will also be featured. The camera has a progressive scan CMOS sensor and four lenses, EXIR range up to 30 meters (98 feet), and H.265+ video compression technology for saving on bandwidth and storage space. The camera can operate in weather conditions from negative 30 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius (-22 F to 140 F).

Check out Hikvision’s new smart PTZ DS-2DF6A836X-AEL featuring AI auto tracking 2.0 with fast focus function at the booth. The camera offers 7.5 to 270mm lens with DarkFighter technology for excellent video quality even in dark or poor lighting conditions.
