Hikvision Canada Inc. will be highlighting its cold-weather rated PanoVu Panoramic multi-sensor and thermal bullet cameras, as well as its HikCentral CMS, in the exhibit hall at Security Canada Alberta. The conference is taking place on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the River Cree Resort’s Entertainment Centre in Alberta, Canada. Hikvision Canada is also a National Sponsor of the event.

Security Canada Alberta is one of Canada’s largest security shows, and one of six annual security conferences hosted by the Canadian Security Association (CANASA), a non-profit focused on supporting Canadian security professionals. The Alberta event includes multiple educational sessions, an expo hall, and a reception.

“Our western Canada team will be showcasing a diverse lineup of solutions including our PanoVu multi-sensor camera for the retail, commercial and education verticals. Thermal applications will be displayed, which use infrared sensors to detect heat energy from objects, making these cameras a stellar solution for perimeter detection, temperature detection, and fire prevention. Thermal cameras perform well in complete darkness and harsh weather environments such as snow and fog,” said Jeff Augustine, Hikvision director of sales for western Canada. “We will also offer attendees education on our HikCentral management system,” he added.

HikCentral software enables organizations to manage single or multiple site video surveillance systems from a central location and supports budget-conscious applications. It also provides ease-of-use and smart analytics, including human and vehicle detection, people counting, point-of of-sale integration, and system health monitoring.

Hikvision’s accurate temperature thermal bullet camera DS-2TD2166-15 will be highlighted at the booth, which has smart features such as line crossing detection, intrusion detection and entrance/exit detection, as well as temperature exception and advanced fire detection. The camera can operate in a temperature range from negative 40 degrees Celsius to 65 degrees Celsius (-40 F to 140 F).

Hikvision’s PanoVu 20 MP panoramic multi-sensor camera DS-2CD6D54FWD-Z will also be featured. The camera has a progressive scan CMOS sensor and four lenses, EXIR range up to 30 meters (98 feet), and H.265+ video compression technology for saving on bandwidth and storage space. The camera can operate in weather conditions from negative 30 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius (-22 F to 140 F).
