Hikvision’s VPU Industrial Smart Camera Nominated for the Germany Inspect Award 2019, Voting Open Through October 15th

Hikvision’s MV-SM412-00GM VPU Industrial Smart Camera has been nominated to compete for the German Inspect Award 2019 in the vision category.

Designed for logistics barcode reading and improved factory automation, the VPU camera is embedded with an Intel-based, AI platform-Movidius VPU chip, which is equipped with a 12-core processor and two 32-bit RISC, providing superior algorithm performance and flexibility. It features 1Gbps bandwidth, waterproof connector, various IO interfaces for multiple input and output signals, indicator lights to guide setup and display performance, and IP65 protection from harsh industrial environments.

Hikvision’s VPU camera is available now for customer sample orders in the North American market, and the official launch in North America is expected by the end of 2018.

The Inspect Award jury nominated 10 products each in the vision and automation control categories, those that reflected innovation and the greatest user benefit.
