A surveillance system provided by Hikvision UK and Ireland helped secure the Tank Museum in Bovington Dorset, a UK museum that houses one of the world's largest collections of armored fighting vehicles.

The museum has a collection of almost 300 vehicles from more than 26 countries and is located near an army base.

“We needed a complete overhaul of our outdated analog CCTV equipment. Fifteen cameras to oversee such a large area was not nearly enough, but with Hikvision’s wide range of products we now have a view of every part of the museum,” said Roy Hicks, museum facilities manager in the Hikvision case study.

UK integrator Ashley Security custom built the new security system using 54 Hikvision IP PTZ security cameras connected to a Hikvision NVR. Museum staff can easily view recorded video footage and access it from their mobile devices.
