Hikvision USA Inc. and Hikvision Canada Inc. are excited to announce a new addition to the Marketing and Communications team with the hiring of Michael Gutierrez in the newly created role of Director of Communications for Hikvision North America. Gutierrez is an award-winning bilingual/bi-cultural corporate communications/reputation professional with more than 15 years of strategic global communications experience. He has expertise in assembling and leading teams through high-profile complex communications strategies that intersect press, politics, and policy—while ensuring customer-oriented marketing and public awareness initiatives stay on track and get the attention they deserve.
Gutierrez has in-depth experience with strategic public relations initiatives including media relations, crisis communications, government affairs, and corporate responsibility programs. One of Gutierrez's charters will be promoting Hikvision’s continued commitment to our customer base, communities we serve and our most valuable resource—Hikvision employees in the region.
Together with his communications team, Gutierrez will be working with mainstream media, security industry publications, our valued customers and partners, non-profit organizations, and government and law enforcement agencies as well as external and internal key stakeholders and opinion leaders.

Gutierrez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and Media Studies from San Diego State University, and enjoys running and community outreach.
