Hikvision Europe Installs People-Counting Cameras at Netherlands Shopping Center

Hikvision Europe worked with integrator partner Cocon Security to install people-counting cameras at the Schalwijk Shopping Center in the Netherlands.

People-counting surveillance technology improves shopping center data by providing a more accurate count of footfall—a retail measurement of the number of people entering a shop or mall, according to the announcement.

Cocon Security installed eight Hikvision dual-lens DeepinView people-counting cameras, which use deep learning technology to improve camera intelligence and to reduce false alarms, enhancing data accuracy. The shopping center is using Hikvision’s video management software (iVMS) station to review surveillance data and export it, compiling reports that detail the number of people entering and exiting shops.
