June 6, 2018

SSI’s list of top May 2018 security stories.

The Security Sales & Integration (SSI) article, “Hikvision Surveillance System Upgrade Brings WWII Battleship Into 21st Century,” made SSI’s list of top May 2018 security stories.

The article covered the Hikvision surveillance system installation at the WWII memorial, the Battleship North Carolina, using 45 new Hikvision IP cameras. The new system consists of a mix of Hikvision 3 MP dome cameras, 2 MP 30x optical zoom PTZ cameras, 2 MP motorized zoom bullet cameras and 2 MP turret cameras placed throughout the main ship and the gift shop. Two Hikvision 32-channel NVRs with 6 TB of storage provide recorded footage up to 40 days.

Alex Asnovich, head of marketing, Hikvision North America’s head of marketing, said this in the article:  “Hikvision contributes to the communities where we live and work. With our integrators as partners, we are able to support the community and give back to memorials like the Battleship North Carolina.”
