In the Serbian capital of Belgrade, local Internet service provider KBC Online has developed a unique application of Hikvision surveillance cameras, providing live feeds to the city’s residents.

“…We helped our citizens to view traffic jams in real time and find alternative routes, so they can avoid stress and lateness. The service is very popular, with over 150,000 users daily watching the cameras,” said Nikolić Tihomir, manager at KBC Online in the Hikvision case study.

Provided by Hikvision Europe, and installed by Serbia integrator Antenall, Hikvision surveillance speed dome cameras were positioned at 18 locations across the city to help resident’s view traffic patterns and other events throughout the city. The pan, tilt and zoom feature combined with up to 30 times optical zoom and patrol mode delivers an extensive view of the city in full HD resolution.

By visiting a link on KBC’s website, Serbian residents can view live feed of the Hikvision surveillance cameras and a map of the surrounding location.
